Aim of the game
Each level of LetterFall 3D presents you with a grid of letters, the aim is to empty the grid. Thankfully you have help, and your allies will destroy the remaining letters when the grid is weak enough. This is determined by how many letters remain and is different for each level.
If the letters manage to land at the top of the grid or if you run out of time you fail the level and the letters have won, don’t worry you can reload the level and try again. Or perhaps, if you have saved enough gold, to extend the time. If your struggling with a level replaying earlier levels for extra gold is an option.
How to control the letters
As the letters fall you can use either the “A” and “D” keys on the keyboard or you can click on the left and right buttons on the game screen, to move the letters left and right as they fall, once a letter has landed you can no longer move the letter from side to side.
How to destroy the Letters
You can destroy the letters in two ways, the letters can be destroyed by power ups or by creating words. Simply click (or touch) the first and then the last letter, you can also click the last letter first followed by the first letter.
If you have successfully created a word the letters will turn green before being destroyed, and you will have the value of the letters added to both your score and your energy. If the letters turn red the word was not found and the letters will not be destroyed
There are two different types of power ups in LetterFall3D, word power ups for example double word and triple letter and player power ups, like the mighty rocket, or powerful lava fall.
Word power ups fall at random, as with the letters. If a word power up collides with the letters, then the letter gains that ability. The letter then changes colour to show that the letters is a super scoring letter.
Player power ups are used by the player to manipulate or destroy the letters in various ways. You must select which player power ups you want to take into battle with you, before starting a level.
To use a player power up simply, click on the power up, then click on the target letter, some power ups like Super Swap require you to click on a second block. All player power ups require 3 clicks:
1 to select the power up (must be an active player power up)
1 to select the target (must be a letter)
1 to select the second target/ confirm (must click on a letter)
1 click outside of the grid avoiding any letters or power ups will cancel the power up use.
As you progress through the game new power ups become unlocked, and extra power up slots become available.
Power Up Considerations
Horizontal swap and vertical swap will swap in the direction of the last click, super swap will swap the first and last clicked letter.
A minimum word score is required for each power up to active it in the level. Simply create a word, with a higher score then the minimum word score to unlock.
Player power ups consume energy, energy is refilled up to a maximum by creating words, you can also spend gold to refill your energy bar.
At the end of each successful level, your remaining energy is refunded to you in the way of gold, after level 10 you also acquire gold for any time remaining at the end of the level.
Hints and Tips
• Replaying earlier levels for extra gold
• Select your player power ups carefully, the bigger more powerful player power ups are harder to unlock and more expensive to use
• Stack the letters in a way to maximise power up damage
